Collector's Club Information
The Toonerville Collector's Club is an informal group dedicated to keeping the memory of the Toonerville Folk and Toonerville Trolley alive. An additional goal is to perpetuate the memory of Fontaine Fox, the artist, by educating future generations as to his talents and contributions to the art world.
In 1990, Toonerville collector, Asa Sparks, from Montgomery, Alabama, started exchanging information with other Toonerville collectors around the country. From that point Asa developed a little newsletter and continued to gather facts and figures about the Toonerville Folks and the artist, Fontaine Fox.
For over 13 years Asa acted as a clearing ground for anything Toonerville related. Asa retired as editor of the Toonerville Times in 2003, but remained as Skipper Emeritus of the Toonerville Collector's Club until his death in December 2007.
