.....I sat down on a Monday morning and confronted a huge sheet of white cardboard neatly ruled into twelve panels. My secretary makes those rectangles for me and seems to think that is the hardest part of producing a Sunday page of comics, because each week as she presents that drawing surface, she remarks, "Now, then, all you have to do is fill in those blank spaces."
