The Toonerville Folks
To introduce you to the various characters from Fontaine Fox's, The Toonerville Folks, we will use pictures of flyers from a Coca Cola advertising campaign of the fall of 1930. The centerpiece of Coke's campaign was a series of thirteen merchandising folders that were centered around the Little Scorpion club and its members. Shown below are nine of these folders and these depict some of the main characters in this daily and Sunday cartoon strip.
